Situated in the idyllic hills of Southern Jutland, Gammelmark Strand Camping stretches all the way down to the sparkling water, where you'll be greeted by breathtaking sea views towards Dybbøl Mill and Sønderborg.
The campsite offers a wealth of facilities for play and activities for all ages, including a large activity area, several playgrounds, bouncy castles, a ball court and an inviting swimming pool.
Gammelmark = a paradise for anglers
With a privileged location by the water, Gammelmark is a paradise for anglers.
The campsite is well visited by fishermen who catch huge salmon, sea trout, garfish, cod, flatfish and many more.
When you return to the campsite with your freshly caught fish, there is a fish cleaning station and freezing facilities. So there's plenty of opportunity to enjoy the catch of the day fresh from the grill.
Hike on the historic Gendarme Trail
For hiking enthusiasts, the historic Gendarme Trail, which winds past the campsite, offers a unique hiking experience.
The Gendarme Trail is one of Denmark's most beautiful hiking routes and is divided into five daily stages.
This 84-kilometer coastal hiking route is a true gem with its varied landscape where you can explore rare plants, wildlife and delve into the rich history and legends of the area.
A perfect starting point for surfers
For surfing enthusiasts, Gammelmark Strand Camping is an ideal location. With areas dedicated to surfers, perfect wind conditions and facilities for rinsing and maintaining equipment, you're guaranteed a sublime surfing experience.
On the beach area, there are grassy areas where you can rig up and take off without getting sand in your equipment.

Gammelmark Strand Camping is located in a hilly area right down to the water, from where more than 80% of our pitches have sea views towards Dybbøl Mølle and Sønderborg.
The Gendarmstien trail runs right past the site and we are well visited by hikers from there.
The site has been expanded and modernized several times with modern service facilities, 50 comfort pitches and a swimming pool.
The campsite covers an area of 12 hectares, of which 6 hectares are set aside for camping. On the rest of the area, we have in recent years established good hiking trails in our diverse forest and beach area.
We have space for around 300 units divided into 6 different campsite areas, each with its own charm.
In addition to camping, we have camping cabins, luxury tents and Bed & Breakfast rooms for rent.
Large play and activity area, several smaller playgrounds as well as 2 large bouncy castles, a ball field and a swimming pool.
About the tent:
At Gammelmark Strand Camping you can rent one of the two luxurious glamping tents that are already set up and ready for your arrival. These spacious TimeOut tents are strategically located directly opposite the main building, which houses toilets, showers, family room, laundry and a well-equipped kitchen. The tents are built on a solid wooden base and also have a large wooden terrace with a sun canopy from where you can enjoy the beautiful evening sun and a magnificent sea view towards Dybbøl Mill and Sønderborg.
