Isabella A/S – conditions for the distribution of newsletters

Thank you for your interest in our email newsletter. When signing up, you agree to the terms and conditions below regarding our storage and processing of your personal data.

By signing up, you agree to receive newsletters from us:

Newsletters from Isabella A/S contain news and information about our products, tips and tricks on camping, competitions, special offers and much more.

You can expect to receive approximately 2–3 newsletters per month.

You can opt out of receiving the newsletter at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link included in each newsletter.

 

PERSONAL DATA AND HOW WE USE IT

Signing up for the newsletter involves giving your name, email address and possibly your postal address. In addition, we ask you to tick your areas of interest among our various product categories.

We use this data to send you the newsletter and make the content relevant and personalised. We exclusively use your address to send any prizes won in competitions associated with the email newsletter.

Our email system collects data about your use of the newsletters – including whether the newsletters are opened, how long they remain open, when the newsletter is deleted, and whether links are clicked. We use this data to improve our service so that we can more accurately target and adapt content to the interests of the recipients. If you have registered an awning in our Isabella Club, we also use the data as documentation.

The legal basis for our collection/storage/processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation, relating to consent.

The intention behind our newsletter is to create interest in our company and products as well as to put the spotlight on camping in general.

 

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Your personal data will be stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. If you unsubscribe, we and our data processor will delete your data after three months. You can ask to be deleted from our system at any time. Contact info@isabella.net. 

If you have registered an awning, we will, as a minimum, store the data until the awning is no longer covered by the extended warranty – a maximum of three years from the date of purchase.

DISCLOSURE OF DATA

We use CampaignMonitor as the platform to distribute our newsletters. CampaignMonitor must therefore be regarded as a data processor.  Naturally, we have a data processing agreement in place with CampaignMonitor. Read more about our data transfers in the following section.

TRANSFER OF DATA TO THIRD COUNTRIES 

As we use CampaignMonitor, which is based in the US, as a platform for distribution of newsletters, it means that your data is transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA.  

We affirm that CampaignMonitor – with which we have a data processing agreement – offers a high level of data security. You can read more about this here: https://www.campaignmonitor.com/trust

 

YOUR RIGHTS

You have a right of access to the data about you that we process, etc.

You have the right to have inaccurate data about you erased or rectified; see Article 16 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

You have the right to have your data erased by us and by our data processor; see Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation. You can exercise this right by contacting info@isabella.net.

You have the right to restrict our processing of data about you; see Article 18 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

In certain cases, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data; see Article 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation. You may also object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with The Information Commissioner’s Office concerning our processing of personal data. See https://ico.org.uk.

CONDITIONS FOR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY

When you buy a product, you are always covered by the statutory right of complaint of two years. At Isabella we give two years of full warranty on all our Isabella awnings. If you register your Isabella awning in Isabella Club within two years of the date of purchase, we automatically extend the warranty to three years instead of two. This applies to brand new:

  • Isabella A-measurement awnings,
  • Isabella awning tents
  • Isabella Villa

Miscellaneous conditions for an extended warranty

  • The warranty only applies to items handed in to an Isabella vendor or directly to Isabella A/S.
  • The warranty covers manufacturing defects and includes materials and workmanship.
  • Wear and tear is not covered by the warranty, for example leaks due to lack of maintenance.
  • The warranty is subject to presentation of a purchase receipt.
  • The warranty is personal and is therefore voided by resale.
  • This only applies to the optional products on the registration form.
  • Registration in Isabella Club is required.

General Provisions for warranty

The Sale of Goods Act covers all defects that were present at manufacture, or where the cause of the fault was present at time of delivery.
