POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Bad maintenance.
  • Sea breezes may settle salt on the canvas. Contamination from polluted air, pollen etc.
  • Aerosol propellant such as fly/mosquito spray, deodorant...

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

The awning is sprayed with plenty of pure water and the dirt is brushed off with a soft brush. Detergents or cleaning agents must not be used – except the cleaner Alpha 123!

When completely dry, the canvas is sprayed with AquaTex impregnator.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Too little ventilation
  • Moisture from the ground

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

  • Open all ventilation. Draw draught skirt
    aside.
  • A plastic underlay can be placed underneath the awning carpet.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • The awning is assembled incorrectly
  • The zip slider is worn or the stop end
    is damaged

  • Move the corner pegs.
  • Contact your Isabella Retailer; these parts are available as replacements for
    home fitting.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Bad maintenance
  • Packed away in a damp condition

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

  • The frame is cleaned, earth & dirt removed and the surface treated with car wax.
  • The frame must be completely dry before it is packed away.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Was wet when packed away and not hung up to dry within 2/3 days

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

  • The canvas must be completely dry before it is packed away. The storage place should be dry, well ventilated, and have an even temperature i.e. not too hot and not too cold. The canvas must be thoroughly cleaned and re-proofed.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Bad tensioning

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

All panels need to be unzipped to achieve full tension on the frame. It is important to tighten the frame in the correct order.

You may find the Hercules makes the job easier. Check that the seams are taut.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • The awning is badly tensioned
  • The awning is too big
  • The caravan is positioned lower than the awning.

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

  • Tensioning of all poles.
  • Pegging, so that the lower panel is tensioned.
  • Check that the distance from the lower panel of the awning to the ground is at least 12 cm, so that the pull of the peggingelastic is used to full effect. Check the A-measurement of the caravan and the awning, with your retailer.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • The caravan is raised too much
  • The awning is too small for the caravan

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

  • Level the caravan without lifting it unnecessarily.
  • Check the A-measurement of the caravan and the awning, with your retailer.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Weather / air-born contamination

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

Check the PVC (with a magnifying glass). It is probably eggs from insects, which are easily removed by means of AquaTex impregnator spray, a small nail brush and a soft cloth.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Wear and tear
  • Mould / damp-stains

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

Can be small wear marks or damage to the outside coating. Normally this does not affect the performance or durability of the roof. May be repaired with Acrylic repair paste (applied externally).

For mould and damp-stains we recommend internal cleaning with water and re-impregnation with AquaTex or, in very bad cases, clean with Alpha 123! If these measures fail It may be necessary to change the roof.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

  • Untidy folding up
  • Bad tensioning

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

Good tensioning and heat will help to diminish the marks.

With present technologysome marks cannot be avoided.
