Family trip with a Camp-let and electric car through Europe

Imagine the freedom of going on an adventure where the destination is only half the experience. For the Danish family, Schack, this freedom became a reality with their electric car, a Skoda Enyaq, and a Camp-let on the towbar. It was a journey of flexibility, comfort and adventure through the beautiful landscapes of Europe. The Camp-let gave them the freedom to explore at their own pace, without fixed plans and without being bound by hotel bookings.

First stop: Austria

With the battery fully charged, René and Anne-Mette set off from Denmark towards Austria with their children, Andrea, 7, and Willads, 6. Their destination was Golling an der Salzach. To get the most out of the trip, the family planned charging stops every 300 kilometres. It suited their needs surprisingly well.

"The loading stops became little breaks where we could stretch our legs and get some fresh air," says René. With two small children, it was a gift to be able to take our time along the road. Skoda Enyaq made it easy to keep track of the range.

The Camp-let was easy to handle at the charging stations. Often, they didn't even need to unplug it, making travelling convenient and relaxed. At the same time, the Camp-let was stable on the road throughout the journey.

Onwards to Croatia

After three days in the mountains of Austria, we headed south to Croatia for a week's stay. "We loved the fact that we could pack up and leave whenever we wanted," says Anne-Mette. The freedom to move from place to place was invaluable and gave the family the opportunity to experience new surroundings whenever the mood struck.

The journey home and future plans with the Camp-let

The return journey was a marathon of 1,700 kilometres, taken in one stretch over 25 hours. Although it was a long journey, the total power consumption of just 201 GBP - impressive for an electric car with a Camp-let on the hook. The kids enjoyed the little play breaks along the way.

For the Schack family, plans for the next adventure are already underway. The summer of 2025 will see another trip with the Camp-let, where the destination is still unknown. But one thing is certain: the Camp-let is going. "It's one of the best holiday experiences we've had as a family. We're ready for another adventure,” René concludes.
